Heightmap Scale

I am trying to have a bigger scale of my heightmap, but after tracing XEngine source code, it seems all scale of heightmap is based on '1' scale except 'HeightMapInfo' class.
there is a 'terrainScale' argument in HeightMapInfo, but nothing happened while I changed it.

Is there anyway I could have a bigger map but not necessary to increase the WIDTH, HEIGHT size?

No, there is no way to make it bigger without a larger source image, without messing up the physics on the terrain. Right now it is inefficient to increase the size because there is no extra culling on the terrain. Soon i'm going to be adding a quadtree in for the terrain to make it more efficient. Dont worry about wasting video memory with a larger heightmap texture though, as it is thrown away after the heightmap is generated.
